Allaire Temen is the Science Education and Research Environmental Education intern for the fall of 2013. She is on the brink of finishing an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science from Chatham University. Allaire grew up in the high deserts of Reno, Nevada, and her love of all things nature and science came from amazing children’s and youth programs at national parks and local museums. Knowledge was ingrained by her geologist mother (and fantastic family!) who camped, hiked, canoed, and took her rock and fossil hunting. Allaire is super excited to be at Phipps Conservatory, helping out and teaching young science education classes, as it gives her a chance to pass on her exuberance for nature and science.

We are so excited to have such talented and wonderful ladies joining our department and know that they will be wonderful!
