Welcome, Hanna, our new Science Education and Research intern!

by Melissa Harding

We are very proud to welcome our newest intern, Hanna Mosca, who will be a part of the Phipps Science Education and Research team for the duration of 2013. Not only is she incredibly talented, she is also a kind and lovely person. Hanna brings her wonderful experience and enthusiasm to our department and we are so excited to have her!

As the Science Education and Research intern, Hanna is helping to develop and teach school field trip programs, seasonal camps and related programming in the department. She is currently a master’s student in the Food Studies program at Chatham University. Hanna has her Bachelor of Individualized Studies from the University of Minnesota in Sustainability Studies, Social Justice and Gender Studies. She has been a youth educator for the last five years in the Twin Cities, where she recently moved from. Prior to coming to Phipps, she served for two years as an AmeriCorps VISTA coordinating a high school internship program focused on urban gardening and conservation. She has also coordinated and taught at multiple edible school gardens in the Twin Cities.

Please join us in welcoming Hanna!
